The Lygons and Beauchamps came to England with William the Conqueror in 1066 ACE. Shortly thereafter, they married into the de Bracy family, becoming the lords of Madresfield Court. From then on, they have enjoyed a place of respect and standing in English society and in the eyes of the Crown.
