Biografia. Era il figlio di Henry Lascelles, II conte di Harewood, e di sua moglie, Henrietta Sebright, figlia di Sir John Sebright, VII Baronetto.. Carriera. Fu deputato per Northallerton (1826-1831) e servì come Lord luogotenente del West Riding of Yorkshire (1846-1857).

Henry George Charles Lascelles, 6th Earl of Harewood (9 September 1882 – 24 May 1947), known by the courtesy title of Viscount Lascelles until 1929, was a British soldier and peer. He was the husband of Mary, Princess Royal , and thus a son-in-law of King George V and Queen Mary and a brother-in-law to kings Edward VIII and George VI .
Military service. Lascelles was commissioned as an ensign in the 1st Foot Guards in 1814 and fought in the Battle of Waterloo when he was slightly wounded by an exploding shell when carrying the standard of his (Second) battalion of the regiment.
History. The title was created in 1812 for Edward Lascelles, 1st Baron Harewood, a wealthy sugar plantation owner and former Member of Parliament for Northallerton.
