Carl Friedrich Heinrich Reinhard Scheer (30 September 1863 – 26 November 1928) was an Admiral in the Imperial German Navy (Kaiserliche Marine). Scheer joined the navy in 1879 as an officer cadet and progressed through the ranks, commanding cruisers and battleships, as well as senior staff positions on land.
The Battle of Jutland (German: Skagerrakschlacht, the Battle of the Skagerrak) was a naval battle between Britain's Royal Navy Grand Fleet, under Admiral Sir John Jellicoe, and the Imperial German Navy's High Seas Fleet, under Vice-Admiral Reinhard Scheer, during World War I.

5 apr 2024 · Reinhard Scheer (born Sept. 30, 1863, Obernkirchen, Hanover [Germany]—died Nov. 26, 1928, Marktredwitz, Ger.) was an admiral who commanded the German High Seas Fleet at the Battle of Jutland (1916). Scheer entered the German navy in 1879 and by 1907 had become the captain of a battleship.
