Elizabeth Lydia Manningham-Buller, Baroness Manningham-Buller, LG, DCB (born 14 July 1948) is a retired British intelligence officer. She worked as a teacher for three years before joining MI5, the British internal Security Service.

Eliza Manningham-Buller is Co-president of Chatham House. She was Director-General of the UK Security Service (MI5) between 2002 and 2007 and became an independent life peer in 2008. She served as Chairman of the Council of Imperial College London from 2011 to 2015.
Lady Manningham-Buller joined the Security Service in 1974. The main focus of her work was counter-terrorism, both international and domestic, and she was appointed Director General in 2002.

15 mag 2024 · Eliza Manningham-Buller, who read English at Oxford, joined the Security Service (MI5) in 1974. She was promoted to its Management Board in 1993 and, at various times, led the Service’s work on technical intelligence collection surveillance, finance, IT and Irish terrorism.
