Levin August Theophil von Bennigsen (in russo Леонтий Леонтьевич Беннигсен alias Ле́вин А́вгуст фон Бе́ннигсен?; Braunschweig, 10 febbraio 1745 – Banteln, 3 dicembre 1826) è stato un generale russo di origine tedesca.
Bennigsen made a name for himself in Russian history as the man who fought Napoleon Bonaparte with distinction at the Battle of Eylau; but, suffering from ill-health, he was then defeated at Friedland several months later.
Graf Levin August Theophil von Bennigsen war ein Offizier aus dem niedersächsischen Adelsgeschlecht der Bennigsen. Er stand zunächst in kurfürstlich-hannoverschen Diensten und wurde später General der Kavallerie der russischen Armee. Er gilt als Initiator und Mitverschwörer des Attentats auf Zar Paul I.
Levin August von Bennigsen was born on February 10, 1745 in Brunswick, Electorate of Hanover. He fought as General then Field Marshal of the Russian Army during Napoleonic Wars. He died on October 3rd, 1826 in Banteln, Hanover.

BENNIGSEN, Levin, Count. A German officer who entered the Russian service in 1773, he attracted the attention of Catherine the Great and he forged himself a reputation during the Polish campaign. He was commander of the Russian forces in 1806 and 1807.
