Biografia. Il 26 febbraio 2006 sostituì Percival James Patterson alla guida del Partito Nazionale del Popolo ed il 30 marzo gli succedette nella carica di Primo ministro, diventando la prima donna a ricoprire tale incarico nel suo paese e la terza in un paese anglofono caraibico dopo Eugenia Charles in Dominica e Janet Jagan in Guyana.
Portia Lucretia Simpson-Miller ON (born 12 December 1945) is a Jamaican former politician. She served as Prime Minister of Jamaica from March 2006 to September 2007 and again from 5 January 2012 to 3 March 2016.
