Louise McKinney (née Crummy; 22 September 1868 – 10 July 1931) was a Canadian politician, temperance advocate, and women's rights activist. She was the first woman elected into the Legislative Assembly of Alberta and the first woman to serve in a legislature in the British Empire.

The Famous Five (French: Célèbres cinq), also known as The Valiant Five, and initially as The Alberta Five, were five prominent Canadian suffragists who advocated for women and children: Henrietta Muir Edwards, Nellie McClung, Louise McKinney, Emily Murphy, and Irene Parlby.
Louise McKinney served as the acting president of the Canadian WCTU in 1931 and died in Claresholm, Alberta, that same year. Canada's annual Governor-General's Award is given to distinguished Canadian women in honor of the achievements of the Alberta Five.
