Friedrich August Stüler (28 January 1800 – 18 March 1865) was an influential Prussian architect and builder. His masterpiece is the Neues Museum in Berlin , as well as the dome of the triumphal arch of the main portal of the Berliner Schloss .
Friedrich August Stüler (* 28. Januar 1800 in Mühlhausen/Thüringen; † 18. März 1865 in Berlin) war ein deutscher Architekt, der als hochrangiger preußischer Baubeamter zu den maßgebenden Baumeistern seiner Zeit gehört. Als seine bedeutendste Schöpfung gilt das Neue Museum in Berlin.

Neues Museum, Berlin. In 1997 David Chipperfield Architects won an international competition for the restoration of Friedrich August Stüler’s Neues Museum, originally built between 1841 and 1859.
Designed by Friedrich August Stüler, the Neues Museum opened in 1859. It was the first museum to have three exhibition levels which were placed on both sides of the monumental staircase.
Designed by Friedrich August Stüler and built from 1843 to 1855, the building suffered severe damage during World War II, after which it was left as an abandoned bombsite. Emergency measures to secure the structure were only taken in the 1980s.
