Dimitris Avramopoulos was born in Athens, on June 6, 1953. He has studied Public Law and Political Sciences in the Faculty of Law of the University of Athens, followed by postgraduate studies in Brussels. Member of the Greek Diplomatic Service from 1980 to 1993.
