Alan John Percivale Taylor (25 March 1906 – 7 September 1990) was a British historian who specialised in 19th- and 20th-century European diplomacy. Both a journalist and a broadcaster, he became well known to millions through his television lectures.

TAYLOR, Alan John Percivale. Storico e giornalista inglese nato a Birkdale (Lancashire) il 25 marzo 1906, morto a Barnet (Hertfordshire) il 7 settembre 1990. Ha insegnato all'università di Manchester (1930-38), è stato professore al Magdalen College di Oxford (1938-76) e quindi professore onorario in questa stessa università.
