Sir John Frank Kermode, FBA (29 November 1919 – 17 August 2010) was a British literary critic best known for his 1967 work The Sense of an Ending: Studies in the Theory of Fiction and for his extensive book-reviewing and editing.
Biografia. Nato in un villaggio dell' Isola di Man, ha studiato alla Douglas High School e all' Università di Liverpool. È stato quasi 6 anni nella Royal Navy durante la Seconda guerra mondiale, passata in servizio per lo più in Islanda.
The Sense of an Ending: Studies in the Theory of Fiction is the most famous work of the literary scholar Frank Kermode. It was first published in 1967 by Oxford University Press.
