Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1 July 1742 – 24 February 1799) was a German physicist, satirist, and Anglophile. As a scientist, he was the first to hold a professorship explicitly dedicated to experimental physics in Germany.
Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (* 1. Juli 1742 in Ober-Ramstadt; † 24. Februar 1799 in Göttingen) war ein Physiker, Naturforscher, Mathematiker, Schriftsteller und der erste deutsche Professor für Experimentalphysik im Zeitalter der Aufklärung.
