Trix Worrell (born 1959) is a Saint Lucian -born British writer, composer and director best known as the creator and writer of television sitcoms Desmond's and Porkpie for Channel 4. His son is actor Elliot Barnes-Worrell . Biography. Worrell started as a theatre writer and director.

Trix Worrell is a multi-award-winning writer, director, composer and academic, working in film, television and theatre. Trix ran a successful transatlantic film company for ten years with producer, Paul Trijbits, working with Denzel Washington, Harvey Keitel, Thandiwe Newton, Whoopi Goldberg and Ridley Scott to name but a few.

Trix Worrell has been one of the most successful black British television writers of his generation. Born in St. Lucia in 1960, he came to England when he was five. He wrote and directed his first play, School's Out in 1980, which was staged at the Royal Court Theatre.
