Georgia Dome. Coordinates: 33.758°N 84.401°W. The Georgia Dome was a domed stadium in the Southeastern United States. Located in Atlanta between downtown to the east and Vine City to the west, it was owned and operated by the State of Georgia as part of the Georgia World Congress Center Authority.

4 ago 2006 · When the Georgia Dome opened in 1992, it was the world’s largest rigid cable-supported oval dome. The ceiling of the twenty-seven-story facility was made of a Teflon-coated fiberglass, and there was a five-story atrium in each of the building’s four corners.
The former Georgia Dome site between the stadium and the Georgia World Congress Center was redeveloped as "The Home Depot Backyard"—an 11-acre (4.5 ha) green space used as a tailgating area. It also features a 3-tier, dual-level, shaded deck pavilion. Near completion in August 2017
15 nov 2023 · Dome served the people of Georgia and beyond for an impressive 25-year-history. The stadium hosted some of the world’s most prestigious sporting and entertainment events, welcoming more than 37 million guests and generating an economic impact of $7 billion dollars.
5 set 2017 · However, the crowning achievement — and most iconic feature of the facility — was the massive translucent roof, suspended some 200 feet above the floor of the venue. When the Georgia Dome opened, the roof assembly was the largest self-supported tensile structure in the world.
