Dong Yi (Korean: 동이; Hanja: 同伊) is a 2010 South Korean historical television series starring Han Hyo-joo in the title role, along with Ji Jin-hee, Lee So-yeon and Bae Soo-bin. The series centers on the love story between King Sukjong and Choe Suk-bin .

"Dong Yi" est un drama historique sud-coréen de 2010 réalisé par Lee Byung Hoon, qui a également réalisé "Jewel in the Palace (Joyau du palais)" (2003) ansi que Kim Sang Hyub. La série est basée sur la consort Suk, personnage historique qui a vécu durant le règne du roi Sook Jong pendant la dynastie Joseon.

Set during the reign of King Sukjong in the Joseon dynasty, the story focuses on Dong Yi, a water maid who gains the trust of Queen Inhyeon and later the favour of the king when he is moved by her prayers for the health of the Queen during the court disputes caused by Jang Hee Bin.
Starring Dong Yi (actress Han Hyo-joo) After her father and brother were executed for crimes that they did not commit, she becomes orphaned at a young age. Through sheer personality, she elevates her status by having herself picked as a palace servant.
