LA TOUR, Maurice Quentin de. Pittore, nato a San Quintino il 5 settembre 1704, morto ivi il 17 febbraio 1788. A 18 anni, recatosi a Parigi, lavorò presso un pittore di nature morte, J. Spoëde, ma egli stesso riconosceva nel suo compaesano J. Restout il suo vero maestro.
