Philip Massinger (1583 – 17 March 1640) was an English dramatist. His finely plotted plays, including A New Way to Pay Old Debts, The City Madam, and The Roman Actor, are noted for their satire and realism, and their political and social themes.

MASSINGER, Philip. Piero Rebora. Drammaturgo inglese, nato a Salisbury nel 1583, morto a Londra il 16 marzo 1640. Era figlio d'un dipendente dei conti di Pembroke; studiò a Oxford, ma nel 1606 lasciò l'università, per ragioni sconosciute, senza avere conseguito una laurea.
