Biografia. Walīd Khālidī in arabo وليد خالدي ? ha compiuto i suoi studi nella Università di Londra, laureandosi nel 1945 e nella Oxford University (Regno Unito) dove ha acquisito nel 1951 una laurea di secondo livello. Ha insegnato nell' Università Americana di Beirut fino al 1982, e successivamente a Oxford, ad Harvard e a Princeton .

Walid Khalidi was born in Jerusalem, he was educated at the University of London and Oxford University. He taught at Oxford, the American University of Beirut, and Harvard. Khalidi is a cofounder of the Institute for Palestine Studies (IPS, Beirut), of which he was general secretary until recently.

Walid Khalidi (1925-) is a distinguished Palestinian historian renowned for his extensive writings on Palestinian exile and the events surrounding the 1948 war. Born in Jerusalem, Khalidi graduated from Oxford University in 1951, where he laid the foundation for his scholarly pursuits.
