Blas Valera Pérez ( Llauantu, 3 febbraio 1545 – Alcalá de Henares, 2 aprile 1597) è stato un gesuita e scrittore peruviano naturalizzato spagnolo, che da sempre ha appassionato gli storici per la sua enigmaticità.
Blas Valera (1544-1597) was a Roman Catholic priest of the Jesuit Order in Peru, a historian, and a linguist. The son of a Spaniard and an indigenous woman, he was one of the first mestizo priests in Peru.

Secondo la storiografia tradizionale Blas Valera nacque a Chachapoyas (Perú), nel 1546 e morì a Malaga (Spagna), nel 1596. Era figlio di uno spagnolo (Luis Valera), e di un’indigena, e dimostrò già dalla giovane età una spiccata predilezione per la Storia.
