Steve Altes (born November 13, 1962) is an American writer and former aerospace engineer. He writes humorous essays about his misadventures.
I'm the writer of Geeks & Greeks, a comedic graphic novel set at MIT and inspired by MIT's culture of hacking and my own experiences with hazing. I ran a Kickstarter to finance illustrating Geeks & Greeks by Andy Fish and Veronica Fish.

Geeks & Greeks was written by humorist Steve Altes, illustrated by Boston-area artist Andy Fish, and colored by Marvel Comics artist Veronica Fish. It was inspired by MIT's world-famous hacking culture and real-life hazing incidents Altes witnessed as an MIT student.
