In small courses instructed by experts, film students learn how to use state-of-the-art equipment and achieve their creative aspirations. Undergraduates have the flexibility to self-design most of their curriculum.
The New York University Tisch School of the Arts (commonly referred to as Tisch) is the performing, cinematic and media arts school of New York University. Founded on August 17, 1965, Tisch is a training ground for artists, scholars of the arts, and filmmakers.

13 apr 2023 · The NYU Tisch Graduate Film program provides an intensive laboratory in writing/directing as well as concentrations in all other areas of filmmaking. Each student makes at least four short films during their three years in the program, plus a thesis project.
The NYU Tisch Undergraduate Film & Television curriculum integrates theory, practice, history and craft studies in order to provide a stimulating context for the creative and artistic expression of young filmmakers.
