Description. Jabal Al-Qarah is located 16 km (9.9 mi) east of Hofuf City. With an area of around 85.4 km 2 (33.0 sq mi), Al-Ahsa Oasis is the largest oasis in the world. A large part of the oasis is located in the Empty Quarter, also referred to as Rub' al Khali in Arabic.
