John Kemeny. Producer. (b. April 17, 1925 Budapest, Hungary) After beginning his career in film distribution and promotion in his native Hungary, John Kemeny moved to Canada in 1957 and began one of the longest and most successful careers in Canadian filmmaking.
He was a producer and editor, known for The Best Damn Fiddler from Calabogie to Kaladar (1969), Quest for Fire (1981) and The Gate (1987). He was married to Margaret. He died on 23 November 2012 in Sedona, Arizona, USA.
