8 apr 2017 · The author credited five boys with inspiring the tale: George, John (Jack), Peter, Michael, and Nicholas (Nico) Llewelyn Davies. So the five sons of Arthur and Sylvia Llewelyn Davies, the daughter of the writer and cartoonist George du Maurier and sister of actor Gerald du Maurier gave Barrie the idea for Peter Pan’s adventures.
