State-integrated school. In New Zealand, a state-integrated school is a former private school which has integrated into the state education system under the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, becoming a state school while retaining its special character.
There are three main categories of schools in New Zealand: state (public) schools, state-integrated schools (mostly faith-based), and private (independent) schools. State schools educate approximately 84.9% of students, state-integrated schools educate 11.3%, and private schools educate 3.6%.

14 mar 2024 · State-integrated schools are former private schools that have become part of the state system. They receive some government funding to maintain and modernise the integrated school buildings. State-integrated schools differ from other state schools in that:

They are governed by their own independent boards and must meet certain standards to be registered with the Ministry of Education.
The college is a year 7 to 13 co-educational school. The school's proprietor is the Catholic Bishop of Auckland and it is a State-integrated school. The college commenced operations on 7 February 2024 with 340 students, and intended to grow progressively to 900 by 2028.
