The Black Crowes are an American rock band formed in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1984. Their discography includes nine studio albums, four live albums and several charting singles. The band was signed to Def American Recordings in 1989 by producer George Drakoulias and released their debut album, Shake Your Money Maker, the following year.

Shake Your Money Maker is the Black Crowes' best selling album, having sold more than 5 million copies. [4] On January 8, 2021, the Black Crowes announced that a 30th anniversary edition of the album would be released on February 26, 2021.
