Torsten Nils Wiesel (Uppsala, 3 giugno 1924) è un medico e neuroscienziato svedese, premio Nobel per la medicina per gli studi compiuti insieme a Roger Sperry per le loro scoperte sul sistema nervoso legato alla vista.
Torsten Nils Wiesel (born 3 June 1924) is a Swedish neurophysiologist. With David H. Hubel, he received the 1981 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine, for their discoveries concerning information processing in the visual system; the prize was shared with Roger W. Sperry for his independent research on the cerebral hemispheres.
Torsten Nils Wiesel, född 3 juni 1924 i Uppsala, är en svensk neurofysiolog och läkare. Han tilldelades 1981 Nobelpriset i fysiologi eller medicin tillsammans med David H. Hubel för deras upptäcker om hur synintryck behandlas i hjärnbarken.

Torsten Nils Wiesel ( Uppsala, 3 juni 1924) is een Zweeds neuroloog en Nobelprijswinnaar. In 1981 won hij samen met David H. Hubel de Nobelprijs voor Fysiologie of Geneeskunde voor hun onderzoek aan het verwerken van visuele data in de hersenen. De twee deelden de prijs met Roger Sperry .

Torsten Nils Wiesel (* 3. Juni 1924 in Uppsala) [1] ist ein schwedisch-US-amerikanischer Neurophysiologe, Neurobiologe und Träger des Nobelpreises für Physiologie oder Medizin . Wiesel wurde 1954 am Karolinska-Institut in Stockholm in Medizin bei Carl Gustaf Bernhard auf dem Gebiet der neurophysiologischen Grundlagenforschung promoviert.
