Tristram Roger Dymoke Powell (25 April 1940 – 1 March 2024) was an English television and film director, producer and screenwriter. His credits included American Friends , episodes of series five and six of Foyle's War , and adaptations of the novels The Ghost Writer [2] and Falling .
Director. 25 April 1940 to 1 March 2024. A British director, who was nominated for a BAFTA for Screen Two story East of Ipswich (1987), as well as a BAFTA Cymru award for The Old Devils (1992). Tristram Powell started directing documentaries for Omnibus and Arena in the 1970s-1980s, before making his first drama No Country for Old Men (1981).
