Angel Leonie Coulby (born 30 August 1980) is an English actress. She gained recognition for portraying the character Gwen ( Guinevere) in the BBC fantasy series Merlin . Early life. Coulby was born and grew up in Finsbury Park, London, and is of Afro- Guyanese descent.

Angel Coulby is an English actress. She made her television debut in the BBC comedy 'Orrible. She is best known for portraying the character of Guinevere "Gwen" in the BBC fantasy series Merlin. Angel grew up in north London, Finsbury Park, but moved to Edinburgh to attend the Queen Margaret University where she studied acting.
