ArtCenter’s South Campus was established in 2004 to accommodate the College’s overall growth. Located in the heart of downtown Pasadena’s Innovation Corridor, South Campus’ three architecturally significant structures:

From wooded acres in the San Rafael Hills to adaptive reuse in downtown Pasadena, ArtCenter’s two campuses provide future artists and designers with a wide array of creative learning opportunities.
ArtCenter opened the South Campus in Pasadena in 2004. In 2019, ArtCenter revealed they exceeded their $100 million goal when their fundraising campaign for additional scholarships and expanding their south campus started in 2011. ArtCenter raised $124 million from more than 7,000 contributions.

Located on 165 wooded acres in Pasadena, Hillside Campus has been home to ArtCenter since 1976. The main building is a dramatic modernist steel-and-glass bridge structure spanning an arroyo in the San Rafael Hills, just above the Rose Bowl.
ArtCenter College of Design offers a new model for art and design education in the 21st century. Our visionary approach is based on the College’s conservatory-like approach to teaching and learning; a desire for rich, intercultural and transdisciplinary dialogue; and a mandate to provide students innovative learning and making spaces.
