Christopher Tony Wolstenholme (born 2 December 1978) is an English musician. He is the bassist and backing vocalist for the rock band Muse. He combines bass guitar with effects and synthesisers to create overdriven fuzz bass tones, a motif of many Muse songs.

In 2015, Chris even had an interview with Sony, where he discussed about music and videogames. According to Wolstenholme's biography from Taste Media, Wolstenholme once almost choked on a Smarties cap. Chris smokes but gave it up when the smoking ban came into force. In 2009 he took it up again & has been seen smoking a pipe.

Nel 2021 le registrazioni dell'album sono cominciate nello studio di Bellamy a Santa Monica, dove lo stesso frontman e il batterista Dominic Howard hanno realizzato le prime versioni dei brani insieme al produttore Aleks von Korff, per poi spostarsi a Londra, dove si sono trovati con il bassista Chris Wolstenholme per il completamento del materiale presso gli Abbey Road Studios.
