Gingerbread Man is an album by American art rock group The Residents, released in 1995. It was their first foray into computer graphics. Original versions of the CD were "enhanced" with animations that followed the music when played on a computer.

"Gingerbread Man" is a song by Melanie Martinez. It was released on December 23rd, 2015, on YouTube and SoundCloud as a stand-alone single, with Melanie saying the song was "a Christmas gift" for her fans. The song was later featured as the fourth and final track on her third extended play (EP), Cry Baby's Extra Clutter on November 25th, 2016.
The song is about how Cry Baby doesn't want to have a serious romantic relationship and all she wants is to have sex. She doesn't like that all the boys who like her want to be the perfect "Prince Charming." She prefers men who never seem to notice her, so she is stuck with guys that are too scared to have sex with her.

•A short preview of this song was released on Melanie's Instagram and Twitter on December 21st, 2015.
•The teaser video was shot at Doe Deere's house.
•This teaser led fans to believe that the song would receive a music video; however, Melanie later confirmed that the song will not receive a music video
•Fans heard Melanie singing the song at the soundcheck before performing a concert in Belgium; however, she never sang it at the concert.
•Melanie said on Twitter that Gingerbread Man would not be on iTunes because "presents are free".
•Despite this, the song was eventually added to iTunes on January 29th, 2016.
