Biografia. Nato nell' Essex, è però cresciuto nel villaggio di Oxton nella Scozia sud-orientale. Da bambino frequentò anche corsi di danza come il fratello minore Calum, divenuto in seguito ballerino professionista, ma scoprì che era più portato per la recitazione.
