24 lug 2002 · Horace Rumpole is dead. The Sydney-born actor Leo McKern, who played the quick-witted, crumpled-faced TV barrister Rumpole of the Bailey, died last night at a nursing home, near Bath, in Britain's south-west. He was 82 and had been ill with diabetes for some time.
