18 nov 2019 · In 2002, Hahnemann became the official primary hospital affiliation of Drexel University when the medical college it served — which by then was called MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine after merging with the Medical College of Pennsylvania in 1993 — was taken over by Drexel.
1 gen 2020 · On June 26, 2019, the owners of Hahnemann University Hospital (HUH) announced that the 171-year-old hospital would undergo a rapid shutdown by September, starting with an immediate wind down in services [1]. Many trainees, faculty, and patients first heard of the shutdown on the local news.
Early 1990s: Hahnemann and MCP moved with the times to pursue burgeoning trends on smoke-free workplaces, recycling and other “green” policies, and public health programs encouraging children to wear helmets when biking, skateboarding, and rollerblading.
