Their biggest hit song was a tight and eclectic mix of funk, pop and rock titled “Walk the Dinosaur,” which revolved around the vocal interplay between its two lead vocalists Atkinson and Sir Harry Bowens, and was released in 1987.

16 mag 2024 · Was is a great songwriter and bandleader. In the 1980s, his band Was Not Was had two top 20 hits (“Walk the Dinosaur” and “Spy in the House of Love“). Don Was and the Pan-Detroit Ensemble is the first band led by Was since the final version of Was Not Was disbanded 15 years ago.
