Gaston ("Gast") Waltzing (born 1956) is a Luxembourgian trumpeter and composer. He has created several jazz bands, including Largo and the Luxembourg National Jazz Orchestra, and has even composed music for films and television programs as well as operas combining classical music with jazz and rock.
Gast Waltzing (gelegentlich auch als Gaston Waitzling oder Gaston Waltzing erwähnt; * 13. August 1956 in Luxemburg) ist ein luxemburgischer Musikprofessor, Trompeter, Dirigent und Komponist. Waltzing wurde als Komponist zahlreicher Titelmelodien für Fernseh- und Kinoproduktionen bekannt.

Gast Waltzing, who in 2016 became the first Luxembourger to win a Grammy Award, is undoubtedly the most famous composer and conductor in Luxembourg. A man for whom music is a world of colours, he resembles the Luxembourg he was born in: talented and eclectic.
Gast Waltzing has been a music lover his whole life. He was classically trained at Europe’s top Conservatories and was the founder of Luxembourg’s Jazz Department conservatoire, which he currently heads. He has recorded dozens of albums covering everything from jazz to classical and dance.
