英国排名世界第一的公立全研究制艺术院校
皇家艺术学院（Royal College of Art，简称: RCA）始建于1837年，位于英国伦敦，是全球唯一的全研究制艺术院校。仅授予硕士和博士学位，无本科教育。在历年的QS世界大学学科排名中，该校一直稳居世界第一 [14]，超越美国麻省理工学院、罗得岛设计学院、英国伦敦艺术大学等一众知名学府。皇家艺术学院仅招收来自世界各国最具艺术才华的学生和艺术家，入学竞争激烈，录取率极低。2017年7月，苹果首席设计师乔纳森·伊夫正式出任皇家艺术学院名誉院长 [5]。
该校学术声誉冠冕全球，教授均为艺术领域的知名艺术家、设计师和理论家。不同于英国其它大学一年硕士学制，皇家艺术学院学制均为两年。其中设计史项目与英国维多利亚和阿尔伯特博物馆联合教学，设计工程理学项目与伦敦帝国理工学院联合教学。
皇家艺术学院是迄今为止历史最悠久的艺术院校之一，被誉为“全球艺术家与设计大师的摇篮”，培养出众多享誉全球的艺术家与设计师。二十世纪至二十一世纪的校友包括：工业设计师詹姆斯·戴森；艺术家大卫·霍克尼、弗兰克·奥尔巴赫、布里奇特·赖利、翠西·艾敏、基塔伊；时装设计师桑德拉·罗德斯、克里斯托弗·贝利、菲利普·崔西；好莱坞电影导演雷德利·斯科特；建筑师大卫·阿贾耶、雕塑家芭芭拉·赫普沃斯、亨利·摩尔 等 [15]。

皇家艺术学院于1837 年建校，世界最著名的艺术设计学院之一，也是世界唯一一所教授研究课程的艺术设计学院。RCA 原名 Government School of Design，位于 Somerset House，Strand1851 年大博览会（第一届世博会）后，改革并更名为 National ArtTraining School，移至现今的South Kensington（南肯辛顿）校区。
皇家艺术学院是全世界唯一的全研究制大学。不同于英国其它大学硕士学制一年，皇家艺术学院学制为两年。学校位于伦敦著名文化区South Kensington，被多所著名博物馆与画廊包围。位于Battersea的新校区已投入使用，2015年全部建成，超过三百名学生在这里学习生活。

学院共有三个校区：
南肯辛顿、白城和巴特西。
Darwin Building：坐落于南肯辛顿的高尔街，1960年由学院的团队负责设计：H. T. Cadbury-Brown, Hugh Casson 和 Robert Goodden。
Graden House ：坐落于白城，供传媒学院使用。
Sculpture Building：2009年1月对外开放，位于巴特西地区，泰晤士河岸附近。与学院的南肯辛顿地区由迷你巴士连接其交通。供雕塑系使用。
Sackler Building：是Haworth Tompkins设计的校园规划中三阶段的第一个阶段。供绘画系使用。

各专业均有不同程度的外部赞助，不管是资金或项目合作，例如：IDE系有 索尼，诺基亚，福特，可口可乐，空客，BBC，联合利华，沃达丰，LG等
合作项目交通工具设计毕业部分学生会由各企业赞助，有福特，丰田，EXA，本田，雪铁龙，奥迪，宾利，Umbro等等
