  7. History. Bosse, named after Evansville mayor Benjamin Bosse, became the city's third high school. Bosse was built between 1923-1924 to serve the expanding population to the east of downtown. The school opened its doors to juniors from Old Central on January 29, 1924 and graduated its first class in 1925.
