Andreas Nikolaus Lauda, meglio noto come Niki Lauda, nasce il 22 febbraio del 1949 a Vienna, in Austria. È stato uno dei più grandi piloti di Formula Uno, per ben tre volte Campione del Mondo.
Niki Lauda beim 6-Stunden-Rennen 1973 auf dem Nürburgring. Als 19-Jähriger – bei seinem ersten Rennen, dem Bergrennen am 15. April 1968 in Bad Mühllacken – wurde Lauda mit einem Mini Cooper S 1300 auf Anhieb Zweiter seiner Klasse. 1969 startete er mit einem Kaimann, gesponsert von der Ersten Österreichischen Sparkasse, Wien, in der Formel V.
