Union College is a private liberal arts college in Schenectady, New York, United States. Founded in 1795, it was the first institution of higher learning chartered by the New York State Board of Regents, and second in the state of New York, after Columbia College.
The Ohio Union serves as a student activity center for students of Ohio State University. When the Union was established in 1910, it was the first student union at a public university. The Ohio Union provides facilities for student activities, organizations/events, and campus and community interaction.
The Ohio Union was the first student union at a public university. After the Ohio Union opened, the student council created a board of overseers in charge of making sure the building activities ran smoothly.
