Ångermanland (Swedish pronunciation: [ˈɔ̂ŋːɛrmanˌland] or [ˈɔ̌ŋːɛrmanland] ⓘ) is a historical province (landskap) in the northern part of Sweden. It is bordered (clockwise from the north) by Swedish Lapland, Västerbotten, the Gulf of Bothnia, Medelpad and Jämtland.
Ångermanland är en gammal bygd, vittnar de många ättehögar från den yngre järnåldern som går ända upp till Resele socken, inemot 100 kilometer från havsbandet. Nära 20 kilometer längre upp efter älven, i Näsåker, finns en större samling av hällristningar.
