Der Landtag Brandenburg ( niedersorbisch Krajny sejm Bramborska) ist das Parlament des Landes Brandenburg und hat seinen Sitz im Stadtschloss in der Landeshauptstadt Potsdam. Die Abgeordneten werden für fünf Jahre gewählt, so dass nach der Wahl im Jahr 2019 die nächste turnusmäßig im Jahr 2024 stattfindet.

Brandenburger Landtagsgeschichte. Nach der deutschen Wiedervereinigung und der Neugründung des Bundeslandes Brandenburg trat der brandenburgische Landtag am 26. Oktober 1990 zu seiner ersten konstituierenden Sitzung zusammen. Dem Namen nach war er allerdings nicht das erste Landesparlament Brandenburgs, wie ein Blick in die Geschichte zeigt.

Der Landtag Brandenburg ruft alle weiterführenden Schulen des Landes anlässlich der Landtagswahl am 22. September auf, sich an der landesweiten Juniorwahl zu beteiligen. Die Juniorwahl ist ein handlungsorientiertes Konzept zur politischen Bildung an Schulen. Das Projekt steht auf zwei Hauptsäulen: dem Unterricht und dem Wahlakt.
