Claus van Amsberg (nome completo in tedesco Klaus-Georg Wilhelm Otto Friedrich Gerd; Hitzacker, 6 settembre 1926 – Amsterdam, 6 ottobre 2002) è stato principe consorte dei Paesi Bassi dal 1980 fino alla sua morte, come marito della regina Beatrice .
Sabato 1 maggio 1965 alle nove del mattino, Beatrice fu fotografata mano nella mano al castello di Drakensteyn con un uomo sconosciuto ai media olandesi, che si rivelò essere un diplomatico tedesco di origini nobili, Claus von Amsberg.

Soestdijk, Soest, 1938) della regina Giuliana e del principe consorte Bernardo di Lippe-Biesterfeld, ha sposato (1966) il diplomatico tedesco Claus von Amsberg. Salita al trono nel 1980 in seguito all'abdicazione della madre, nel 2013 ha a sua volta abdicato in favore del figlio Guglielmo Alessandro (n. 1967).
On 28 June 1965 the engagement was announced of Claus von Amsberg and Princess Beatrix, after a report drawn up by Professor Louis de Jong at the government's request had concluded that there were no concerns about his conduct during the Second World War.
In 1966 Princess Beatrix, as she then was, married Claus von Amsberg, a German diplomat. They had three sons: Willem-Alexander (b. 1967), Johan Friso (1968-2013) and Constantijn (b. 1969). Prince Claus died on 6 October 2002.
