Philippe of Dammartin (Philippa de Dammartin) was a 13th-century noble woman. Philippe was the daughter of Simon of Dammartin, Count of Aumâle and his wife Marie of Ponthieu. She was the sister of Joan, Countess of Ponthieu, wife of Ferdinand III of Castile and mother of Eleanor of Castile, the wife of Edward I of England.
When Philippa de Dammartin was born about 1214, in Aumale, Seine-Maritime, Normandy, France, her father, Simon of Dammartin Count of Ponthieu, was 35 and her mother, Marie de Ponthieu, was 16. She married Raoul de Lusignan II in 1239. They were the parents of at least 1 son.
The Counts of Dammartin were the rulers of the county of Dammartin, based in the current commune of Dammartin-en-Goële as early as the 10th century. Located at the central plain of France, the county controlled the roads of Paris to Soissons and Laon.
