  5. 31–35: Explorers and Adventurers . There have been so many adventurous Marlburians. Amongst the most interesting is Frank Bickerton (C3 1901–04), Arctic explorer, treasure hunter, soldier, aeronaut, entrepreneur and movie-maker. He made a major contribution to the Australasian Antarctic expedition of 1911–14 for which he designed a sledge.
