I don't want to order a death record until I find out for sure it is for him, there seemed to be a few "James McDonald's" in the area around this time. I thank you for ANY help you are able to give! ~Darby Topics on same person merged ~ moderator

Audrey, notable MacDonald/Macdonell RC families in the west of Laggan parish were those of Knockrome & Garvamore, they were off the Keppoch lot, who hung on despite the MacPhersons.
9 apr 2014 · Again, I have no real proof that I am related to Angus and Margaret McDonald. Everything fits and there really are not that many McDonald's in Crathie And Braemar at the time. So I think there is enough evidence to place them on my tree. If you have any thoughts, I would like to hear it.
Hi Edward, I was at NSW State records a couple of days ago and didn't have Sween McDonald on my list. But next time (maybe in a few weeks) I can photograph Sween McDonald's and Margaret Binning's Probate files which may have death notices and extra clues.
I haven't been able to trace first wife Janet McDonald's death, but Malcolm remarried as a WIDOWER in Lewiston (as stated in earlier posts) to Mary McKENZIE from the Parish of Ferrintosh 1.1.1820; cannot find any definite record of her birth (IGI gives her date abt.1800 but they give her husband Malcolm's birth as c.1795).
Would this mean then that the Owens/McDonald's had half of the house, wth 41 at the top, 42 and 43 occupied by otherfamilies, and then 44 and 45 at the bottom? I am trying to gage an accurate image of what exacty the house/tenements looked like. The photos do help (although they lookvery spooky).
