The movie is about an unforgiving climb to the top of the second highest mountain in the world, K2, and the music takes the listener through the imagined highs and lows of the journey, building on prior experience but never returning to the same place.
10 feb 2007 · The music reaches a couple of major climaxes, simliar to Crimson Tide or Backdraft, and you really get that heart-rousing feeling that only Zimmer (or his proteges at Media Ventures) can give. The second of the two is the music that accompanies the wonderful climactic shot where the helicopter hovers up into view right at the end.

Hans Zimmer is one of my favorite composers, his style is unmistakable and it shines in this piece of music! Changes between bombastic and subtle parts are great. I don't mind it is only split in two tracks.
