17 giu 2024 · There’s no shortage of unmade Carry On films. According to the British Comedy Guide, a new film called Carry On Beside The Sea is in development. The plot, about a beauty pageant at a British seaside resort, closely resembles Talbot Rothwell’s 1973 film Carry On Girls. There are also plans for an accompanying stage show.

23 giu 2024 · One of the better model ship films now in the public domain Captain Kidd has some very creditable miniature ship sequences supervised by Lee Zavitz. The black and white miniature photography is excellent along with the models and the quality background scenic art. The entire film can easily be found on you tube and elsewhere online.
23 giu 2024 · It has many of the same features as the earlier film in that the model ship appears to have been shot at sea with a real horizon and the explosions are augmented by large camera shaking added later via the optical printer. Typically for the period quite a number of the miniature shots appear as rear projected backgrounds for the live action.
