  6. Jesus College is part of the University of Cambridge. It was founded at the end of the 15th century by John Alcock, whose surname gave the College the distinctive cockerels on its crest. The College is known for its large grounds in the north east of the city and its chapel dates back to the 13th century, which is thought to be the University’s oldest building that is still in use.
